  • Dual-Zone Independent Control — run two separate watering zones from a single faucet connection, each with its own fully independent schedule. Water your lawn and garden beds simultaneously or at completely different times — no splitter, no extra hardware, no compromises.
  • Flexible & Precise Scheduling on Both Zones — program each zone individually with its own start time, watering duration (1 minute to 23 hours 59 minutes), and frequency ranging from every 1–12 hours for frequent misting to every 1–15 days for deep-soak cycles. More scheduling range than most dual-outlet timers on the market, giving you complete precision over every plant type and area.
  • 3 Intelligent Watering Modes Per Zone — AUTO mode runs each zone's programmed schedule automatically so your garden stays watered while you're away. MANUAL mode gives you instant on-demand watering for 1 minute to 23 hours 59 minutes on either zone without touching your saved settings. RAIN DELAY mode pauses irrigation for 1 to 7 days during wet weather and automatically resumes on schedule — no reprogramming needed, no water wasted.
  • Large Sunlight-Readable LCD & Child Lock — the high-definition display keeps both zones' settings visible at a glance even in direct sunlight. The built-in Child Lock mode prevents accidental changes by kids or pets, keeping both irrigation schedules intact. Runs on 2x AAA alkaline batteries (not included), engineered for long-lasting, stable power in outdoor conditions.
  • Patented Self-Cleaning Valve & Heavy-Duty Construction — dual patented pulse solenoid valves actively prevent sediment buildup on both outlets, extending timer lifespan well beyond standard models. The inlet is reinforced with 30% glass fiber nylon and rated up to 116 PSI. IPX5 waterproof rating and a double-sealed battery compartment handle rain, heat, and freezing temperatures without issue.
  • Fits Any Faucet, Works Everywhere — tool-free installation on any standard garden hose faucet, two zones ready in under a minute. Perfect for running lawn sprinklers on one outlet and drip irrigation or greenhouse misters on the other. One timer, two fully independent zones, unlimited applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which model is this — and how does it differ from the 1-zone version?

This is the MHT-002, our 2-zone Manual Hose Timer. Two independent outlets (A and B) with completely separate schedules — so you can water the lawn on one program and the garden on a different one, all from the same faucet. The 1-zone MHT-001 is simpler and more compact if you only need to automate a single hose.

Can both zones run at the same time?

Yes, but they share a single water inlet, so pressure splits between them. For best results, stagger your start times by at least 15–30 minutes — e.g., Zone A at 6:00 AM, Zone B at 6:30 AM.

Can I use only one of the two zones?

Absolutely. Just program the zone you want and leave the other unprogrammed. The unused valve stays closed and won't water.

Does rain delay work on both zones independently?

No. The rain delay applies to both zones at once on the MHT-002 — you can't delay just one independently.

What's in the box?

1× Manual Hose Timer (MHT-002), 1× 1/2" hose adapter, 1× spare O-ring, 1× inlet filter, and a Quick Start Guide. 2× AAA batteries are not included. You'll also need two garden hoses — one per outlet.

How long does installation take?

About 2 minutes, no tools required. Insert batteries, drop the inlet filter into the inlet, seat the O-ring, hand-thread onto your 3/4" outdoor faucet, connect a hose to Outlet A and another to Outlet B, then turn the faucet on all the way.

What schedule options can I set per zone?

Each zone is independent. Duration: 1–240 minutes in auto mode (1–300 in manual), per zone. Frequency: every 1–23 hours or every 1–15 days, per zone. Use the A and B buttons to switch zones, and the dial + +/− buttons to program each one.

Will the timer work without batteries?

No. The 2× AAA batteries power both the LCD display and the electronic valve. Without batteries, the valve stays closed and no water flows.

Will removing the batteries erase my schedule?

No. Your programmed schedule is stored in non-volatile memory and survives battery removal. The only thing you'll need to reset is the clock.

Can I use rechargeable batteries?

We recommend standard alkaline AAAs. Rechargeable NiMH batteries run at 1.2V instead of 1.5V, which can trigger the low battery indicator sooner and may reduce valve reliability.

Customer Stories

Customer Stories

“I used to water my lawn constantly, just hoping to keep it green. Turns out, I was overdoing it. Soildrops took over and now my sprinklers run only when my lawn actually needs it. My water bill? Down 40%. My lawn? Greener than ever.”

Mark T. – (California, Homeowner)

“Farming in Arizona means every drop of water counts. Before Soildrops, I was just guessing when to water my orchard. Now, I have real data to work with. The sensors tell me exactly when and how much to irrigate, so I’m saving water, cutting costs, and still getting a solid yield. It’s a total game-changer.”

James R. – (Arizona, Small Farm Owner)

“When we moved in, our yard was a disaster—dry, patchy, and lifeless. We had no clue how to fix it without running up a huge water bill. Soildrops made it simple. It waters exactly when and where it’s needed, and now our plants and grass actually thrive. No more wasted water, no more dead lawn. We’re hooked.”

Emily & Jake – (Nevada, First-Time Homeowners)

“I’m not a tech guy, so I figured installing a smart irrigation system would be a hassle. Nope. Soildrops was ridiculously easy. No complicated wiring, no digging—just place the sensors, connect the controller, and you’re good to go. Took me less than 10 minutes. If I can do it, anyone can.”

Michael B. – (Florida, Homeowner)

“Broken valves are the worst. You don’t notice them until your water bill spikes—or worse, your plants start drowning. With Soildrops, I don’t have to guess anymore. It sends alerts the second something’s off, so homeowners can fix issues before they turn into expensive problems. For me, that means fewer emergency calls and happier clients.”

Carlos R. – (California, Professional Gardener)
